“The DeLand City Commission chose to utilize an 18-member citizen committee to design our new City Hall, the first committee of its kind in the state in designing a City Hall. The C.T. Hsu team did an outstanding job…integrating the committee’s ideas, and developing a design that exceeded expectations…they demonstrated a sincere desire to produce a superior product.”

Mr. Michael Pleus, City Manager, City of DeLand

Deland City Hall

The latest three-story facility is three times bigger than Deland’s original city hall built-in 1905. Notable areas include a two-story Commission Chamber hall with seating for 130 people, eight conference and meeting rooms, and a new customer service center. There is also office space for approximately 70 city employees and a beautiful outdoor Civic Plaza. All design aspects are especially sensitive to the city’s historic character and charm. The structure features load-bearing masonry walls with structural steel infill. The building exterior is brick, precast panels, and gypsum fiberglass reinforced concrete accents.
