Transforming Inverness’s Downtown Experience

Orlando architectural planning and design firm C.T. Hsu + Associates (CTH+A) has begun work on the Depot Pavilion and Train Station in Inverness, Fla. The $1.8 million design project is part of a continuing service contract with the City of Inverness.

The lakefront Depot Pavilion and Train Station is among a number of capital investment projects that will interconnect and dramatically transform the city in the next three to five years, according to City Manager Frank DiGiovanni. Plans call for an open-air market, iconic water tower, retail space, bike parking, stage, access to the Withlacoochee State Trail, and outdoor seating.

CTH+A’s portfolio includes urban design and architecture projects for more than a dozen municipal clients throughout Central Florida. They include the West Orange Bike Trail, City Hall, Community Center, Farmer’s Market Pavilion and Water Splash Park projects for Winter Garden; Palm Coast’s City Hall; and Deltona’s Community Center.

“We are excited to apply our experience in designing downtown places that define a community to help Inverness create destinations for their energetic and progressive city,” said Firm President C. T. Hsu, FAIA, LEED AP.
