Seminole County Softball Complex
C.T. Hsu + Associates designed the Seminole County Softball Complex to include extensive public grounds, parking and a maintenance facility.
The centerpiece of the complex is the Scorekeepers’ Facility; a unique ten-sided, three-story structure centrally located within the complex’s five tournament-quality softball fields. The parti for the scorekeepers’ building was generated from the radial geometry of the playing fields and the linear axial relationship of the park entrance, pond and ceremonial tournament field. The 8,000 square-foot facility houses public restrooms and concession sales on the ground floor, a large meeting room and public balcony/promenade on the second floor, and offices and scorekeeper boxes on the third floor.
This project earned C.T. Hsu + Associates a prestigious Award for Excellence from the American Institute of Architects Florida Association.
