Project Manager

Education

The Project Manager reports to the Project Director or Principal of the firm. He or she will direct the project throughout its various phases with the client’s representative and other team members. The Project Manager is an experienced leader and analyst who can define a project, develop a set of tasks to accomplish, coordinate, and monitor the work involved to deliver a final product on time and within prescribed cost constraints.

The Project Architect works with the Project Manager or Director in the development of design concepts, which are incorporated into a final product in conjunction with the work of other architects, engineers, and technicians.

Responsible for planning and conducting work requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, adaptation, modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Role responsibilities function in the role of a project leader and may handle some project management tasks, but Project Architects work primarily on technical aspects.

Generate and manage the development of architectural design. Coordinate interior design, site planning, and engineering to develop architectural design solutions to project program refinements. Function as a designer to the extent necessary to complete projects on schedule and within budget. Project Designers may also perform as a team leader on specific projects.
