Port Orange Selects Cth+A For Public Safety Projects The City of Port Orange, Fla. has selected C.T. Hsu + Associates to provide architectural services for police and fire related projects that represent an estimated $20 million in renovations and new construction. The projects include an innovative new fire station prototype that will incorporate wellness and urgent care centers into the traditional fire station design. The prototype facility is being developed through a public/private partnership with the Halifax Health System as a solution to overcrowding in the region’s hospital emergency departments. Other project specifics include construction of a new two-story, 55,000-60,000 sq. ft. police station (public safety facility) located on eight acres off of Clyde Morris Boulevard and a new 2-3 bay fire and emergency services delivery station at the intersection of Spruce Creek and Central Park Boulevard. |
