Hector Torres-Oyola, AIA, has 22 years of experience in project management and design and holds a Master in Arts degree in architecture and environmental design from the University of Puerto Rico at San Juan. Since joining the firm in 2004, he has worked almost exclusively as project manager for the $100 million Orlando International Airport Airsides 1&3 Expansion project.
Much of Hector’s career has focused on projects for the hotel and hospitality industry. Examples include the Walt Disney World Yacht & Beach Club expansion, the Port of Entry for Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure, the China Pavilion remodel for the millennium celebration at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Center, the San Juan Intercontinental Resort & Casino expansion, and Marriot hotels in Cali, Colombia and Panama City, Panama.
Hector brings to the firm a unique dichotomy of artistic creativity and attention to detail, and he takes pride in his “eight days a week, 25 hours a day working pace,” challenging others to keep up. However, he also makes time for leisure activities including traveling with his family on RV vacations, bicycling and playing tennis.
