Employee Profile Tim McNicholas has more than 20 years' experience in the planning and design of award-winning institutional buildings and mid- to large-scale infrastructure projects for both public and private clients. He was CTH+A's first employee, hired as intern architect in 1984. He left the firm briefly to earn his master of architecture degree from Harvard University, working in Boston and New York City before rejoining the firm in 1989. Today, he serves as design principal on all CTH+A projects. Tim earned his bachelor degree in architecture from the University of Florida and is a recipient of the university's prestigious Young Architect's Design Award, given to a select few alumni who have made a significant professional contributions in the first 15 years of their careers. Tim considers it a wonderful privilege to plan and design significant projects for Orlando - his hometown - and the surrounding region. His clients include the City of Orlando, Valencia Community College, Orange County Government, the City of DeLand and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. "Tim has been instrumental to the exciting growth of our firm," says C.T. Hsu. "Since his first day as a young intern in 1984, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional design talents and leadership skills throughout many of our award winning projects.
